Matchbox procured a licencing deal with Marvel comics to create two Marvel themed sets. The first off being a set based on the Hulk character.
For afficianados of Powertrack a brief round of applause for the introduction of the quite excellent Ford Escort. This car was a racing legend. It's a travesty that it never appeared in a proper racing set - just this cobbled together street themed set.
Bizzarely, the full size Ford Escort was only sold in Europe. So why only sell it in the US? That said, us Europeans got the Chevrolet Stingray, while the US didn't. Hmm...
That glaringly obvious error apart, the set also featured the Hulk Van. This is quite a laugh and though popular on Ebay is quite a mass produced item. The Hulk van is identical to the Villain van found in the Spiderman and Copter chase sets.
