RIVERSIDE 500

This is the precursor to PT-4000 and is an excellent set. Originally, it was supplied with two early seventies single seaters, the Elf F1 and the Texaco F1. By 1978, as this picture shows, the cars had been replaced by the Ferrari 312T and the McLaren M23 - though these were not known as that at the time. The blue liveried McLaren was only used stateside.

This big set used a mains transformer. The tracks shown in the 1977 catalogue used a different type of plug in terminal but its fair to assume these were replaced by the more familiar Powertrack items at launch.
