The Corvette Stingray is also referenced in the Funny Car description elsewhere. The UK only car was the car shown above. This car looks particularly ungainly when not mounted on a piece of track, but on the track it looks great - a real shame it doesn't have a racing number on it though.
As mentioned elsewhere, the prototype version (above) is a 'standard' Corvette with the same graphic scheme applied to it. The intriguing aspect is that there must be a version of this much photographed example and therefore, like sundry other quasi-prototype uncovered so far - it would be worth a fair amount of money to collectors.
